1st Thessalonians 5:18
I find that bad times are humbling times, but it takes a conscious mind that is calm to appreciate the bad times as they come. Bad times, when you think of it, make us appreciate good times because if things were good all the time, the good times would lose their value. Bad times are trial times for in the end you either emerge a victor or a loser.
They say you can tell a lot about a person by how their handle bad times, and this is true. Bad times polish us and brings out another side of us, the other personality that exists within us. Bad times present an opportunity to prove our character to ourselves and to the world or those around us. It shows how brave one can be or it will bring out the coward in some.
And so life is full of ups and downs, and bad times don’t last for ever. That means that if things go bad, they can only get better thereafter. So let us thank God for the bad times too, and not only for the good times.
